For Gunde Svan (GS8)
Tuluum Shimmering/Cheb Samdoun/German Shepherd/Zac Keiller

If you're going to start a cassette tape tribute series to nordic skiers from the '80s, then it's a forgone conclusion that you are starting with the absolute best--Sweden's Gunde Svan. For Gunde Svan is a tribute to the legendary Svan on a format that would please both his era and his insatiable thirst for Nordic Skiing. Another fine balance of independence of sound and strange group cohesion. Professionally duplicated onto yellow C62s, bound by letterpress insert (and by the edge), and mailed to you soon. Tuluum Shimmering heats the top of your skull at 13,000 feet. Cheb Samdoun blends Mali and Bristol with 15 min. of inspirational fuzz and gnawa FSA-onics. GS stitches some Black Flag onto the bottom of a swamp burble cocktail. And Zac Keiller goes deep and comes back with a group of blue whales.
